FORT COLLINS, Colo.--()--Water Pik, Inc., the leader in replacement shower heads introduces the latest product lineup featuring an all new patented technology, PowerPulse Massage™, offering two times the massage force compared to competitor retail brands, Delta® and Moen®. Unlike anything in the shower head aisle, the PowerPulse Massage creates maximum pulsating force for a noticeable difference and a superior shower.

By reinventing the way the water pulses in the massage spray setting, PowerPulse delivers double the massage force with the same amount of water as its competitors. The new line delivers an invigorating shower experience with up to nine spray settings including: Full-Body Spray, PowerSpray™, Eco Spray and the PowerPulse Massage.

Committed to best-in-class engineering for more than 40 years, Waterpik® has been improving the shower experience with the latest innovations in the category. But there have been changes in the shower head landscape since Waterpik invented the Original Shower Massage® in 1974. In 1992, government water regulations were set in place that limited water flow from a shower head to no more than 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM) nationally – causing a decreased feel in pressure for many of today’s shower head products. As a result, according to consumer research conducted by Waterpik, one of the primary features consumers look for when replacing their current shower head is a more powerful shower experience.

Consumers will see even more decreases in the flow rates of their shower heads in the coming years, as Colorado will require all shower heads sold to flow no more than 2.0 GPM effective September 2016. California, who has suffered a drought for the last several years, will also meet those requirements as of July next year and then by July 2018 will limit flow to no more than 1.8 GPM – the toughest restrictions yet. Already in place, New York currently leads the way for regulations with 2.0 GPM maximum in place.

“Consumers are consistently looking for better water force in their showers and with the increase in regulations in the coming years it will become even more important to engineer shower heads for maximum efficiency and power,” said Water Pik, Inc. President and CEO, Richard Bisson. “Waterpik has continually delivered superior shower performance and we’re proud to add PowerPulse massage to our product line as we strive to give consumers the shower experience they deserve.”

With the introduction of PowerPulse Massage, Waterpik demonstrates its continued dedication to delivering power and performance in every shower. PowerPulse joins Waterpik shower innovations including OptiFlow, spray selectors on handles, eco-friendly options and more.

Available in a range of models in chrome finish, PowerPulse offers fixed mount and handheld versions currently at Walmart and The Home Depot, and coming to Mendards in December 2015 as well as Target in Spring 2016. Suggested retail prices range from $19.99 to $44.99. To learn more about Waterpik and PowerPulse shower heads, visit www.Waterpik.com/PowerPulse.
