Cirba to Discuss Importance of Predictive Analytics in Software-Defined Infrastructure at Gartner Data Center Conferences

Sessions will outline how Global 2000 organizations are leveraging predictive analytics to achieve true software-defined control over infrastructure

TORONTO--()--Cirba Inc., the leading provider of software-defined infrastructure control solutions, today announced it will be speaking and exhibiting at Gartner’s upcoming data center conferences, including the Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference in London (November 30-December 1) and the Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference in Las Vegas (December 7-10). At both events, Cirba co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Andrew Hillier, will discuss why predictive analytics is the missing link in most software-defined strategies.

Across software-defined environments, predictive analytics are needed to intelligently automate and govern the configuration, provisioning, and operation of IT. These analytics solutions must understand the manifest of a workload including the business and operational parameters that apply to it and the technical needs such as memory, CPU, and storage requirements. They also must understand the capabilities of the available infrastructures. It is only by having a deep understanding of both supply and demand that organizations can intelligently automate the process of placing workloads and assigning resources in order to achieve true hands off, software-defined control. The benefits are lower costs, efficiency, faster time to market and reduced operational risk.

As organizations expand their hosting strategies to include OpenStack, containers, bare metal and public cloud, placement decisions become even more complex and make automated decisions even tougher. To address this complexity, Hillier will explain how predictive analytics have enabled Fortune 500 organizations to achieve intelligent, automated, software-defined control.

Hillier will be presenting at:
