Megaport’s Award-Winning Platform Empowering Elastic ExpressRoute Connectivity for Office 365

BRISBANE, Australia & SAN FRANCISCO--()--Megaport, the global leader in SDN-based elastic interconnection, today announced, at Microsoft Ignite Australia, that Microsoft Office 365 is now available across Megaport’s elastic interconnection platform. Customers can quickly and easily provision dedicated connectivity to ExpressRoute for Office 365 via Megaport’s award-winning portal. Starting today, Megaport’s customers can benefit from better performance, similar to that of ExpressRoute for Azure, which has been a success across the Megaport fabric.

With connectivity to Office 365, Megaport customers will be able to easily and efficiently access Microsoft applications, and experience fast and reliable network performance. The integration of Office 365 with the Megaport API makes it very simple to activate services and dial up and down the appropriate amount of bandwidth to suit the specific needs of enterprises embracing the cloud-enabled IT model.

“We are very excited by the success of ExpressRoute for Azure across our platform. The addition of ExpressRoute for Office 365 to the Megaport fabric will make a strong impact for our customers in their daily operations,” said Denver Maddux, CEO of Megaport. “The ability to aggregate multiple services like Azure and Office 365 on the same port drives great value by reducing our mutual customers’ costs. Plus, with Microsoft’s integration into the Megaport API, provisioning services is simple and fast via our portal.”

“Microsoft is pleased to have Megaport on board offering customers access to Microsoft ExpressRoute for Office 365, which is something our customers and partners have been asking for since we launched ExpressRoute earlier this year,” said Phil Goldie, Director of Partner Business and Development at Microsoft Australia. “ExpressRoute for Office 365 enables customers to establish a private, managed connection to Office 365, delivering many customer benefits including more predictable network performance, the ability to better manage network availability, the reliability that comes with dedicated connectivity and additional data privacy.”
