Armed Forces Construction Implements Digital Strategy to Hire Veterans, Find New Customers and Grow to a National Company

WASHINGTON--()--On this Veteran's Day, Spendology’s Blue Apex Digital division would like to shine a light on its first web design and hosting customer; Armed Forces Construction, a veteran-owned and operated construction company. Armed Forces Construction is Veteran’s Administration (VA) and American Disabilities Act (ADA) certified. Armed Forces Construction uses SAP’s Ariba Discovery B2B ecommerce platform and launched a brand new website to attract new customers and contractors. They hire military veterans to work on construction projects throughout the United States.

Tony Muriel is the CEO of Armed Forces Construction and a veteran of the Gulf Wars. "If it was not for 623,729 deaths from my brothers and sisters since the First World War - I would not have the freedom that I have," explains Mr. Muriel. Sam Crawford, a veteran of the Vietnam War, is affectionately called the Godfather by his employees. Sam “the Godfather” Crawford says that military veterans "were strong enough to serve; now, all they want to do is have a normal life and to work for those they care about."

"There are great benefits to hiring military veterans. Veterans approach the job with 'integrity, honor and discipline,'" says Mr. Crawford. On the importance of honoring veterans, Sam states that "if it wasn't [for veterans] fighting for our freedom, we wouldn't be able to do this." On special days like Veterans Day, many might wonder how to honor veterans and members of the armed forces. Sam says, "It's simple, just say thank you."
