SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--()--PracticeMax, a national provider of revenue cycle, information technology, satisfaction research and practice management services, today announced it has acquired Medical Management Corporation of America (MMCOA) of Brewster, NY, continuing its expansion of operations throughout the nation.

Under the direction of founder and CEO Barry Haitoff, CHBME, MMCOA has grown to be one of the largest medical practice management companies in the Northeast. Founded in 1996, MMCOA serves providers throughout New York and the northeast corridor, and has developed unique expertise in the specialties of orthopaedics, spine, neurosurgery, intraoperative neuromonitoring, neurology, physical medicine, physical therapy and more. Providing coding, billing and practice management services, MMCOA enables their clients to focus on patient care while increasing collections, reducing costs and optimizing revenue cycle performance.

“Barry and I have enjoyed a long personal and professional relationship, so I am delighted to announce this acquisition and welcome Barry and the entire MMCOA team into the PracticeMax family. Our two organizations already share much in common, so I have no doubt the synergy created by this transaction will prove beneficial for our clients, employees and shareholders,” says Bill Carns, CMPE, CHBME, chief executive officer at PracticeMax.

“I have tremendous appreciation for the many ways in which PracticeMax delivers value to medical providers, and I am excited to bring this expanded scope of services to all of our current and future clients,” says Haitoff. “PracticeMax has a proven track record of improving financial performance while reducing compliance exposure and costs for the clients they serve.”

Carns described the acquisition as yet another important step in the company’s quest to offer its services across a broad spectrum of medical specialties and locations, developing regional centers of excellence throughout the United States. “We know that healthcare is local, and that regardless of specialty, providers need convenient access to experienced, trusted advisors who understand their particular marketplace and who can deliver the support they need. With our solutions, diverse customer base and geographic footprint, PracticeMax is well suited to serve various medical professionals, hospitals, ASCs, ACOs, medical homes and other integrated delivery systems across the country.
