Anaqua continues significant expansion in Japanese IP market

BOSTON--()--Anaqua, a leading provider of intellectual property management software and services, today announced that Panasonic Corporation has entered into a multi-year agreement to use Anaqua’s solution for all aspects of its IP activities, including the management of inventions, patents, trademarks and license agreements.

Anaqua has established a significant presence in the Japanese market and over the last year has made a series of strategic investments in product, local client services and business development. The Japanese version of ANAQUA Enterprise solution is already live at Honda Motors, Inc. to manage their IP portfolio including inventions, patents, designs, trademarks, litigation and license agreements.

Panasonic is one of the largest product manufacturers in the world, comprised of 473 companies and employing over 260,000 people. They also own one of the world’s largest patent portfolios. Not only is Panasonic known worldwide for their consumer electronics and lifestyle products, they are also a global leader providing comprehensive solutions for businesses, such as infotainment systems for automakers, in-flight entertainment and communications (IFEC) for airlines, as well as battery and related solutions for the world’s most advanced hybrid and electric vehicles.

Prior to selecting ANAQUA, the company relied on multiple in-house systems for the protection of intellectual property, including all the IP licensing activities of a global conglomerate.
