MENLO PARK, Calif.--()--Origami Logic today announced the first major step in its global expansion since closing another $25 million in funding. Experienced technology leader Raviv Pavel, the newly appointed general manager of Origami Logic Israel, will work with Co-Founder and CTO Ofer Shaked to build the company’s new technology innovation lab in Tel Aviv.

Serving global brands such as Visa, JCPenney, Cisco, Intel, Omni Hotels and Pernod Ricard, growing its international presence is a top priority for the company. Recently announcing the general availability of its new Marketing Signals Measurement (MSM) platform, Origami Logic is on a mission to help CMOs around the globe know which campaigns and content are working best so they can quickly adjust their marketing investments to drive more business impact.

“Brand marketers want to know how their global campaigns performed across paid, earned and owned media – today. We are scaling our team to give marketers a better understanding of daily marketing performance,” said Origami Logic CEO and Co-Founder Opher Kahane. “Given our strong connections to the deep talent network in the region, Tel Aviv is an ideal location to expand our development and innovation efforts. With a track record for building cutting edge development teams, the appointment of Raviv Pavel as our new general manager will help us quickly grow the team in Israel.”

Pavel is a proven leader in the Israeli technology community with extensive experience leading R&D teams for top innovators. Before joining Origami Logic, Pavel served as chief technology officer for mobile travel industry leader WorldMate (acquired by Carlson Wagonlit), where he completely re-architected and re-implemented the technology stack. As vice president of R&D for SaaS social infrastructure leader Gigya, Pavel built the company’s R&D team from the ground up during his six-year tenure. He has also held senior R&D roles at Hotbar.com and Balisoft.

The new lab in Israel will focus on technology and product innovation, with an emphasis on advanced technologies such as Hadoop and Spark. Plans are to double the engineering team at Origami Logic in 2016, and the Tel Aviv location will augment accelerated growth in the company’s Menlo Park headquarters and other existing locations around the globe.

“Strengthening our international engineering presence is critical to our growth and delivery of our corporate mission. We – Opher, Alon and myself – worked together in IDF Unit 8200 and grew up in the Israeli high-tech scene. We know there is a talented pool of engineering and analytics experts in Israel, and we are committed to hiring the best team possible,” added Shaked.
