Merkle Strengthens Its Media Services Team with Three Strategic New Hires

COLUMBIA, Md.--()--Merkle (www.merkleinc.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency, announced the appointment of three new senior members to its media services team: Mac Delaney, head of programmatic; Serge Del Grosso, vice president, media services; and Rory O’Flaherty, senior director, media services.

Mac Delaney will serve as head of programmatic at Merkle, overseeing the development of Merkle’s programmatic display and social go-to-market strategy and offering. Additionally, Mac will be responsible for identifying and managing the technology, media, and data partnerships that deliver programmatic and social programs fueled by MerkleONE, Merkle’s people-based marketing solution. Prior to joining Merkle, Mac served as SVP of programmatic for Starcom Mediavest Group where he was responsible for accelerating the programmatic marketing capability through the development of processes, technology, and strategy across the organization. Mac is a frequent speaker at industry events and serves on the advisory board for IAB’s Video Center of Excellence.

Serge Del Grosso, an accomplished digital marketing executive with over 25 years of experience, will be responsible for leading media strategy, delivery, process development, and business growth for the media services team at Merkle. He will oversee media planning, buying, and optimization as well as represent the media discipline as a key member of the digital media management team. Serge comes to Merkle from eBay Enterprise, where he managed display media services, helping clients acquire, retain, and grow customers leveraging eBay’s proprietary data and programmatic technology platform. Prior to eBay Enterprise, Serge was the director of media, North America at SapientNitro, where he led the media practice across all digital, traditional, and emerging channels.

In his role, Rory O’Flaherty will serve as the leader for the delivery and execution of digital buying strategies, driving performance for Merkle’s client portfolio. Rory has over 20 years of agency experience and specializes in the integration of all media and cutting-edge technology adoption. Prior to joining Merkle, Rory led the media practice at R/GA which designed solutions for brand awareness, customer acquisition, social media, and opt-in engagements.
