STAMFORD, Conn. & N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CRT Capital Group LLC (“CRT”), an independent institutional broker-dealer, today announced the hiring of Stuart Linde who will serve as the company’s Head of Equity Research. This key hire follows prior announcements of the firm’s continued expansion of its institutional sales, trading and research platform. Earlier this year, the company announced the hiring of six new senior research analysts, which followed CRT’s April 2015 acquisition of the Institutional Equities business of Sterne Agee Group, Inc. Following that transaction, CRT’s Institutional Equity, Research and Banking businesses have operated under the name Sterne Agee CRT.
Mr. Linde, who most recently was the Global Head of Equity Research for Barclays Capital, joined Lehman Brothers in 1998 and was voted onto the All-America Research team as an analyst from 2000 through 2003. Mr. Linde eventually ran the US Equity Research team at Lehman Brothers from 2003 through 2009, prior to Barclays’ purchase of the firm. Mr. Linde started his career in Equity Research as an analyst, covering leisure and casino companies, working with several Wall Street firms including BMO Capital Markets and Oppenheimer & Co. Mr. Linde will report to Bill Jump, CRT’s President and Head of Equities.
