BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Coravin, Inc. today announced the United States launch of the new Coravin Model Two, elevating its best-in-class wine system to the next level with enhanced performance features and a streamlined, user-friendly design.

In the development phase of the Model Two, the Coravin team traveled the globe to meet with home users, sommeliers and wine makers, observing people use the Coravin System to better understand where enhancements could be made. As a result, the following improvements were identified and are manifested in the Coravin Model Two:
- A streamlined, modern design with brushed metal accents in dark graphite
- A thin Wall Needle that pours 20 percent faster than the original needle while still not damaging the cork, and also locks into place to prevent leaks
- New “L” shaped ProperFit Clamps with textured grips, making them easier to squeeze to ensure a secure hold on every bottle
- New Capsule Cup Load Cell Technology ensuring a tight seal every time between the device and the gas capsule for leak proof installation of the capsule
After transforming the wine world with the launch of the original Coravin System in 2013, the brand has celebrated significant milestones including international availability in more than 30 countries; more than 500 restaurant and retail partners including Landry’s Inc., Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and Sur La Table; and recently secured over $14 million in Series C-1 financing.
The new Model Two unit can be purchased alone for $329.95 or as part of two packages: Model Two Plus including the Model Two unit and a Coravin carry case for $349.95; or the Model Two Plus Pack including the Model Two unit, a Coravin carry case and a needle kit including the Standard, Vintage and Faster Pour needles for $399.95. The Coravin Model Eight (Coravin’s original C1000 System) will still be available for $299. The Coravin Model Two will be available in Europe in the first half of 2016.
