GE Names Linda Boff Chief Marketing Officer

NEW YORK--()--GE (NYSE:GE) has named Linda Boff chief marketing officer. In addition to her current brand marketing responsibilities, Boff, 53, will lead the company’s digital industrial marketing strategy, intensify commercial and customer impact, and continue to accelerate GE’s brand. Boff will report to Beth Comstock, GE vice chair.

"Linda is one of the most innovative and forward-thinking marketers in the business,” said Comstock. “Her extensive background in integrated marketing, digital media, and brand, as well as her reputation for innovation will help evolve our marketing organization, build our iconic brand and advance GE’s digital and industrial strength.”

Boff joined GE in 2003, and is responsible for driving the GE brand through innovative content, digital marketing and first-of-their-kind media partnerships. Her drive to innovate has won the company and Linda many accolades including FastCompany’s Most Creative People and Advertising Women of New York’s Changing the Game awards.

Boff’s experience also includes CMO at NBC’s iVillage as well as key marketing roles at Citigroup, the American Museum of Natural History and several large media and marketing agencies. She is a graduate of Union College.
