Citi ThankYou® Points Transfer Now Includes Virgin America

Citi ThankYou Premier® and Citi Prestige® Cardmembers Can Now Transfer Unlimited ThankYou Points to Virgin America Elevate® points

NEW YORK--()--Citi today announced eligible US cardmembers can now transfer an unlimited number of their ThankYou Points to Virgin America Elevate® points at a rate of two-to-one. With Virgin America reward flights starting as low as 2,500, points to destinations across the U.S. and Mexico including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Cancun, and later this year, Honolulu, Oahu and Kahului, Maui, eligible Citi cardmembers now have even more options when it comes to redeeming their points.

The only California-based airline, Virgin America has received a number of major awards since its launch in 2007 for the quality of its service and innovative onboard amenities including being named both the "Best U.S. Airline" in Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards for the past seven consecutive years and "Best Domestic Airline" in Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards for the past eight consecutive years. The inflight experience has been designed from the ground up with the guest in mind and features signature moodlighting, the Red® inflight entertainment system and power outlets at every seat and a touch screen on-demand menu which remains unique in the U.S. airline industry.

Also, from now until 11:59 p.m. ET on October 21, 2015 eligible Citi cardmembers can get on board with ThankYou Rewards’ newest Points Transfer partner and receive 25% bonus Elevate points when they transfer a minimum of 1,000 ThankYou Points. This means that for every 2 Citi ThankYou Points transferred, cardmembers will receive 1.25 Elevate points.

With the addition of Virgin America’s Elevate program to the ThankYou Rewards program, eligible Citi cardmembers can now transfer their ThankYou Points to 14 hotel and airline loyalty rewards programs and travel to more destinations around the world.
