Varley USA and Enterprise Ventures Corporation Release Catalogue Featuring New-Age Military Technology to Support Global Aerospace & Defense

Strategic partnership proves to be mutually beneficial, transforming contractor market and defense capabilities

TYSONS CORNER, Va.--()--DC-based Varley USA, subsidiary of Varley Group of Australia, and its newest strategic partner, Enterprise Ventures Corporation (EVC), affiliate of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), announce the initial release of their new catalogue of products and innovations designed to bolster the capabilities of our allied militaries and defense organizations.

Enterprise Venture Corporation (EVC) and Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) formed a strategic partnership with Varley USA in May 2015 and have since cultivated a portfolio of high-quality, mission critical technology, currently available to the aerospace and defense (A&D) market.

“This partnership enables us to expand our footprint beyond the Pacific-Rim into untapped areas and establish a presence that was lacking in the A&D industry,” said Matt Hederstrom, CEO of Varley USA. “This is the first of many announcements for the catalogue that will offer products and innovations designed to impact allied militaries and defense organizations around the globe. We are excited to offer this initial group of products and see the tremendous impact each tool will have for our defense clients.”

The collaboration efforts of Varley USA and EVC/CTC led to this initial catalogue, offering six unique products, including two game-changing projects within the collection:

  • H-60 Bridge Tool Set – Due to the maintenance-induced damage to critical flight control components on the H-60 helicopter, major affects hindered aircraft ability and maintenance costs. The Bridge tool contains 17 specially designed tools for the removal and installation of the forward and aft bridge assemblies on the MH-60 (maritime helicopter). Protecting aircraft modules, this tool helps improve aircraft availability and reduce total maintenance hours from 2-plus shifts to remove components to just 4 hours.
  • Small Unit Water Purification System (SUWPS) – Accessibility to clean and drinkable water continues to be a challenge for defense entities as mobility and agility become more and more mission critical. This system is designed to provide up to 100 gallons per hour of ultra-filtered water and up to 10 gallons per hour of drinking water from the reverse osmosis system. It provides potable water, with no external power sources, and offers up to 90 percent recovery versus 70 percent of other systems currently on the market.

“This catalogue of products brings the innovative technology and services to solve many of the problems facing today’s global defense communities. To put things in perspective, every American soldier needs at least 3 gallons of water per day with each gallon weighing in around eight pounds – which makes it difficult to supply to forward and remote posts,” said David Schario, President of EVC and Senior Vice President of CTC. “The SUWPS can produce up to 100 gallons per hour of purified water. When utilized for our military forces, providing accessibility to potable water, with no external power source, is significant and critical to the soldiers on the front lines.”

Other products in the catalogue include a quick skive removal tool, a mine threat countermeasure system, a waste water processing system, and a magnesium powered battery, using saltwater as an electrolyte to create electricity and hydrogen.
