PeraHealth Adds Nursing IT Veteran to Further Strengthen Clinical Expertise

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--()--PeraHealth, a provider of real-time clinical surveillance software alerting doctors and nurses earlier to serious health problems, has named Elizabeth Pruett, BSN, vice president of clinical services.

Pruett brings 30 years of nursing operations experience to PeraHealth, combining her clinical expertise with an advanced knowledge of the evolving healthcare IT landscape. Board certified in healthcare informatics, she previously directed the implementation of clinical technology systems in a variety of settings – from small, independent hospitals to large, integrated health systems – working alongside hospital administration to support care teams in driving positive patient outcomes.

“With decades of nursing and technology expertise, Elizabeth is uniquely qualified to support our partner hospitals in optimizing their IT systems to create a safer, more integrated care experience,” said PeraHealth CEO Stephanie Alexander. "Adding her to the PeraHealth team bolsters our ongoing commitment to helping hospitals deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.”

Powered by the Rothman Index, a disease-agnostic universal score for predicting patient readmission and mortality risk, PeraHealth software automatically pulls data from all major electronic health record (EHR) systems. The data is translated into a Rothman Index score and presented in color-coded graphs that trend patient condition across any care setting, alerting clinicians earlier to subtle but serious health problems.

Clinicians use PeraHealth solutions to:

  • Remotely monitor patients across multiple care settings and enhance preemptive rapid response team intervention;
  • Help determine when to discharge patients;
  • Prioritize patient bedside visits and nursing assignments;
  • Improve accuracy and timeliness of documentation;
  • Optimize ICU bed use;
  • Recognize, communicate and recommend the need for palliative care.
