WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announced the initial list of presenting companies for the 14th Annual BIO Investor Forum, an international investor forum which explores investment trends and opportunities in life sciences. The event focuses on early and mid-stage private as well as emerging public companies that are poised for growth in 2016. The event will take place October 20-21, 2015, at the Parc 55 in San Francisco, California.
“We have a superb slate of over 100 companies signed up to present at this year’s BIO Investor Forum, and a global group of investors are lining up to hear from them,” said BIO President and CEO Jim Greenwood. “Based on current investor registration, we anticipate that attending investors’ assets under management and available funds will exceed all prior years, representing an excellent opportunity for companies looking for their next round of funding.”
Companies were chosen through a competitive screening process with input from BIO and the event’s advisory committee. The committee is comprised of members from top-tier firms focused on investing and banking in the life sciences industry in addition to executives from emerging and leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
