Dr. Greuner considers a 100% blood flow reduction in the target vessel as it acts as an expandable plug a huge advantage of the EOS™, whereas all of the other devices on the market require packing, often of multiple devices, to create a seal. “This means that with the EOS™ device, only one step leads to a very precise seal, minimizing operative time, effort and hardware used,” said Dr. Greuner. “Because a complete seal is achieved immediately, when correctly deployed it also results in a reduction of dye used to check and recheck each step of the procedure, which is overall much more healthy for the patient.”
