In addition, the manufacturer documented a decrease in scan-based trading (SBT) shrink adjustments of 5% year over year.
Waste was successfully reduced across six national retailers by leveraging PCG’s Visibility & Analytics and exception-based reporting to pinpoint high returns and SBT shrink opportunities by product and by store location, which led to improved analysis of both types of waste. The manufacturer was then able to change delivery schedules and/or quantities to better meet consumer demand, thereby increasing sales and expanding market share.
