Autonet Mobile Strikes Deal to Sell Intellectual Property to Lear Corporation. License Rights Will Support New Aftermarket Focus.

SANTA ROSA, Calif.--()--Autonet Mobile today announced that it has sold intellectual property including its suite of connected car software and devices, to Lear Corporation. Autonet Mobile is a leading developer of software and devices for automotive applications and has received a license back on all the sold IP to support its existing customers and pursue new market opportunities in the automotive aftermarket.

“The acquisition of Autonet Mobile’s technology by Lear allows Autonet to focus on new innovations in the automotive aftermarket for the connected car,” said Sterling Pratz, Autonet Mobile’s co-founder.

Under its agreements with Lear, Autonet Mobile will continue to support its programs with existing customers, while also targeting new customers in the automotive aftermarket with a new platform of innovative products and services aimed at the rapidly growing consumer connected car space.

Autonet Mobile’s new platform will be focused on dealer to vehicle and dealer to consumer communications. This new technology will enable a host of new services and vehicle applications that can monitor critical components within the vehicle in real time.
