J.Alexander’s Bringing Award-Winning Concept to Lexington

Upscale Restaurant Coming to The Summit at Fritz Farm in October 2016

LEXINGTON, Ky.--()--J. Alexander’s Holdings, LLC, owner and operator of its award-winning J. Alexander’s casual dining collection, has announced plans to bring an upscale restaurant to Lexington, with an opening planned in October 2016.

Lonnie J. Stout II, President and Chief Executive Officer of J. Alexander’s Holdings, LLC, said the new J. Alexander’s restaurant will be located in The Summit at Fritz Farm at the Northeast corner of Man O’ War Blvd. and Nicholasville Road. The new, unique outdoor fashion center, located in the core of Lexington’s retail corridor, will feature national brands and local boutiques specializing in fashion retail, hospitality, recreation, home goods, a boutique hotel and a residential component with 306 condo-like apartment units all in one convenient location.

The J. Alexander’s restaurant will be approximately 8,100 square feet with seating for more than 220 guests, and will employ an operating staff of approximately 100 full and part-time professionals.

“We’re extremely pleased to announce plans for our newest J. Alexander’s restaurant with a unique architectural design for the Lexington market,” Stout said. “For quite some time, we have been interested in identifying a premier site in Lexington for our J. Alexander’s concept, and we’re looking forward to being an integral part of The Summit at Fritz Farm.”

Known for its wood-fired cuisine, the J. Alexander’s menu features a wide selection of American classics – steaks, prime rib of beef and fresh seafood, along with a large assortment of interesting salads, sandwiches and desserts. J. Alexander’s also has a full-service bar that offers an outstanding selection of award-winning wines by the glass and bottle.

“Like every J. Alexander’s, our Lexington restaurant will have a culinary team capable of executing a 95 percent made-from-scratch, award-winning menu,” Stout explained. “Guests in our restaurant will receive high execution levels of professional service in an environment characterized by upscale ambiance. In creating this ambiance, we use European stemware for all of our wine service, high quality plate ware, roomy seating packages, furniture grade tabletops and a high level of detail finishes in all areas of the restaurant.”

The Lexington J. Alexander’s restaurant will be designed by Shea Design & Architects, Minneapolis, MN. Shea is an innovative solutions provider for architectural and interior design. The firm specializes in the design and engineering of restaurant and hospitality facilities, and has created architectural designs for restaurants in the J. Alexander’s collection since 2014.

Operating hours for the new J. Alexander’s in The Summit at Fritz Farm will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

J. Alexander’s Holdings, LLC presently operates 41 J. Alexander’s, Redlands Grill and Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill restaurants in 14 states. J. Alexander’s opened its first upscale, casual dining restaurant in Nashville,TN in 1991. The headquarters of J. Alexander’s Holdings, LLC is located in Nashville.
