NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Green Street Solar Power, a leading solar financing and installation company, has announced that Jason Kuflik, president of the firm, was named to NYSERDA’s Green Jobs - Green New York Advisory Council.
The Green Jobs – Green New York (GJGNY) Program provides New Yorkers with access to energy assessments, installation services, low interesting financing, and pathways to training for various green-collar careers. NYSERDA established the Green Jobs - Green New York Advisory Council to provide key input regarding program design and implementation, and the Council includes representatives of community-based consumer groups, workforce development groups, union, home performance and construction contractors, renewable energy professionals, investment market experts, and other stakeholders.
Mr. Kuflik has more than 15 years of accounting, financial, sales, and operations experience in solar and finance. In 2009, he took a position with a solar development firm, where he managed its operations and successfully executed more than 20 megawatts of power purchase agreements and developed more than 2,000 acres of land for solar farms. He was responsible for all aspects of operations, including utility and New Jersey Clean Energy applications, utility interconnection, vendor management, and sourcing capital. In 2010, he joined a regional solar firm as VP of Commercial Business Development and within three years was promoted to Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing all aspects of the commercial division. During his tenure, Jason sold and financed over 12 megawatts of commercial projects and helped open new offices across the region.
