Terrance Bilbo appointed to Grant Thornton’s Senior Leadership Team

CHICAGO--()--Grant Thornton LLP has named Terrance “Terry” Bilbo, chief administrative officer, to the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, effective Aug. 1. Bilbo is based in the firm’s McLean, Va., office.

The Senior Leadership Team sets strategy and oversees operations for Grant Thornton. The team, appointed by the chief executive officer (CEO), comprises the firm’s highest-ranking officers: the CEO; chief legal officer; chief people & culture officer; national managing partner of markets, clients and industry; chief administrative officer; Central region managing partner; East region managing partner; West region managing partner; national managing partner of Audit Services; national managing partner of Tax Services; and the national managing principal of Advisory Services.

Bilbo joined Grant Thornton in August 2014. In his role as chief administrative officer, he oversees the firm’s IT, Real Estate, Procurement, Travel, Information Governance and Security functions. He has more than 25 years of experience in leadership and management of internal business services, successfully re-engineering global business processes, redeploying enterprise systems and sourcing non-core services.

Prior to joining the firm, Bilbo served as corporate vice president of finance operations for Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC), where he directed the strategic turn-around of the company’s finance operations and executed multiple cost-saving initiatives and restructuring programs. Previously, he served in a number of roles of increasing responsibility at CSC, including corporate vice president of shared and administrative services and corporate director of administrative services.

Bilbo completed graduate studies in public administration and received a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also received an associate’s degree in environmental science from Pearl River Community College.
