Jason Pinter Joins SpotHero as VP of Finance & Administration

Chicago Tech Executive to Help SpotHero Accelerate Growth Plans

CHICAGO--()--Today on-demand parking company SpotHero announced that Chicago tech industry veteran Jason Pinter has joined the company as VP of Finance and Administration. Pinter has over a decade of experience at Chicago-based digital technology companies including Orbitz and DialogTech (formerly Ifbyphone). In his new role, Pinter will be responsible for helping SpotHero scale by leading the finance, accounting, legal, human resources, and administrative functions of the business.

“In the past 18 months we’ve doubled our staff, opened offices on both coasts and launched in five new metro areas,” said Mark Lawrence, CEO of SpotHero. “Jason is joining our team to help us maintain operational efficiency while rapidly expanding our business. He has a proven track record of helping companies reach the highest level of success and we can't wait to work with him."

Prior to running Encyclopaedia Britannica’s global financial operations, Pinter spent nearly six years at DialogTech (formerly Ifbyphone), where he helped scale the company by more than 5x and secure its recurring spot on the Inc. 500/5000 list. Pinter’s resume also includes multiple roles at Orbitz, Kraft Foods and Andersen, and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

“SpotHero is one of Chicago’s most exciting tech companies,” said Jason Pinter, VP of Finance and Administration at SpotHero. “I’m looking forward to putting the financial analytics and infrastructure in place to ensure SpotHero continues to grow in its position as the #1 on-demand parking app.”

Pinter’s appointment comes on the heels of another big hire for SpotHero. In June, the company announced that parking industry veteran Tim Maloney joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Maloney, who has more than 18 years of parking experience, is responsible for bolstering relationships with parking operators. In addition, SpotHero recently attracted GrubHub and Groupon alumni for leadership positions while preparing to build Chicago’s next major local marketplace business.

SpotHero also earned the recognition of Chicago Startup of the Year by BuiltInChicago, acquired ParkPlease in San Francisco, and moved into a new office building to accommodate its growing headcount.
