Releases new solution on its exchange that overcomes shortcomings of existing domain verification techniques

As part of its pre-filtering of all ad requests within the sovrn ad exchange, Real Domain technology verifies the underlying URL of the page making the request and delivering the subsequent impression. sovrn’s Real Domain Detection overcomes many of the challenges with existing domain verification techniques, such as requests from multiple nested iframes.

As the 4th largest global network, according to independent audience measurement company Quantcast, sovrn’s investment will help to improve the ad tech industry’s overall transparency and remove sources of fraud, such as the misrepresentation or masking of domains through domain spoofing or ad injection.

Real Domain Detection is the latest investment by sovrn in the area of transparency and fraud prevention, which culminated in sovrn receiving top scores in Pixalate’s May 2015 Global Seller Trust Index. In the index, which measures the overall effectiveness and quality of 400 media sellers, sovrn received the highest ratings for domain transparency and prevention of malware.
