Sealy & Company Completes the Disposition of 2.35 Acres Located In the $5-Billion Mile In North Texas

DALLAS--()--Sealy & Company, a fully-integrated commercial real estate investment and operating company and recognized leader in the industrial real estate market, announces the disposition of 2.35 acres located at the corner of Headquarters Drive and Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The 2.35 acre sale represents the last parcel sale of a total land purchase of 82 acres by Sealy in 2007.

Over the last few years Sealy has disposed of strategic tranches of the 82 acres, including most notably the sale of 28 acres to Nebraska Furniture Mart and the sale of 27 acres to Toyota Corporate for the relocation of their headquarters from California. The relocation will be one of the largest corporate moves ever to North Texas. Sealy also sold a 15 acre site for a car dealership.

Toyota, FedEx Office and Liberty Mutual, have zeroed in on the neighboring Legacy West project, a 240-acre mixed-use development, for corporate relocations. The planned concentration of new shops and apartments in Legacy West was a draw for the companies; it is intended to serve the growing corporate base that's developing on the west side of the toll road.
