Japanese Café "-KOSYUEN-" Opens in Paris, rue Saint-Honoré

- Offering Japanese cuisine distinguished by “WA” and “BIO” in a casual atmosphere -

YOKOHAMA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A Japanese café “-KOSYUEN-“ featuring “WA” (Japanese spirits) and “BIO” was opened by BROOK’S Group (Head office: Yokohama, Kanagawa; President: Hiroko Ogawa) on Saint-Honoré Street, in Paris, France on April 30th 2015.

“- KOSYUEN -“ originated in a Japanese tea company in 1968, which has distributed selected Japanese food products like Japanese green tea and dried seaweed. While providing various products which enhance the quality of life, we launched the mail-order coffee distribution in 1983. Since then, we have played a leading role in the market.

UNESCO decided to register “WASHOKU”-traditional Japanese cuisine- as an intangible cultural heritage in 2013, and Japanese cuisine and culture have gained global popularity. Particularly in France, health-conscious Japanese food captures the people showing high interests in “BIO”. Our newly-opened café “- KOSYUEN -“ offers Japanese dishes with selected ingredients accumulated through our long experience as a distributor of Japanese tea and Japanese food products. In addition to Japanese beverages like BIO Sencha, BIO Uji Matcha and BIO Hojicha (roasted green tea), we offer organic Onigiri (rice balls), Ochazuke (rice dish flavoured with tea) and desserts appreciated in Japan in a casual setting.
