MasterCard Makes Apple Pay a Priceless Player in the Lineup for the 2015 MLB All-Star Game Presented by T-Mobile in Cincinnati

Partners with MLBAM to bring Priceless Surprises to Apple Pay Users at MLB All-Star Week Events

MasterCard is giving fans using Apple Pay at the 2015 MLB All-Star Game a Priceless experience.

PURCHASE, N.Y.--()--MasterCard is giving fans using Apple Pay an easy, secure and private way to pay at the 2015 MLB All-Star Game presented by T-Mobile in Cincinnati, along with a Priceless experience. Those attending the 2015 MLB All-Star Week festivities will not only be able to use Apple Pay on-site for food and merchandise purchases, but when they do they could also receive a Priceless Surprise.

MasterCard cardholders who use Apple Pay at contactless merchandise and concession acceptance locations at the T-Mobile All-Star FanFest taking place July 10th through July 14th or in-stadium at Great American Ball Park from July 12th through July 14th could get a little something extra – from All-Star branded premiums, autographed memorabilia to prepaid cards and more.

Apple Pay is available for U.S. consumers on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch and can be used at all contactless acceptance locations. Device owners can use their U.S. MasterCard consumer credit, debit, prepaid and small business cards from a growing list of banks and credit unions through Apple Pay. The acceptance of easy-to-use contactless payments, fully integrated into the Great American Ball Park’s concession and merchandise technology by the Cincinnati Reds and MLBAM, is just the beginning of how MasterCard is delivering an enhanced experience to baseball fans.

“Nobody wants to be caught in line at concession only to hear the crowd go wild over a play they’ve missed. The ballpark experience is an ideal environment for quick and secure payment options so fans can get through concessions and back to the game quickly,” said Cheryl Guerin, Group Executive, Global Products & Solutions, MasterCard. “We’re thrilled to partner with MLBAM to bring contactless acceptance to the 2015 MLB All-Star Week festivities. Through our longstanding relationship with MLB and MLBAM, we are constantly looking for opportunities to create enhanced fan experiences both in-stadium and online, whether that’s through advanced payment capabilities or delivering surprises to fans.”

In addition to contactless acceptance at the 2015 All-Star Game presented by T-Mobile, baseball fans can also utilize Apple Pay when purchasing single-game regular season tickets through MLB.com Ballpark, the official ballpark app of Major League Baseball.

MasterCard developed the MasterCard Nearby app, available in the App Store, which helps you easily find merchants near your current location that accept contactless payments including Apple Pay.
