Tieraona Low Dog, MD Named Fellowship Director of the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine

Dr. Low Dog will develop the first interprofessional Fellowship program of its kind for clinicians in a collaborative learning environment

SAN DIEGO--()--Tieraona Low Dog, MD, has been named Fellowship Director of the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine (AIHM). Dr. Low Dog is an internationally renowned educator, physician and thought leader in integrative medicine. She is developing of the first graduate-level, two-year training program of its kind for interprofessional advanced health clinicians.

Prior to joining AIHM, for nine years through 2014, Dr. Low Dog led the curriculum development and fellowship program at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona for more than 600 integrative clinicians.

Mimi Guarneri, MD, AIHM President, said, “Education is at the core of the AIHM. Dr. Low Dog will be instrumental in realizing the Academy’s vision through the Fellowship program. We will be part of the solution to a central issue — a siloed versus team approach to patient care — that is currently disrupting health care delivery.
