Samsung SDS CellWe EMM First to Receive Common Criteria Certification Compliant with Mobile Device Management Protection Profile

MOONACHIE, N.J.--()--A global provider of IT solutions and ICT services, Samsung SDS America, Inc. (Samsung SDSA) has announced that the Samsung SDS CellWe Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution has received the first-ever Common Criteria certification for an EMM compliant with the security requirements of the Mobile Device Management Protection Profile (MDMPP) from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). This certification positions Samsung SDS CellWe EMM as a leading EMM solution that meets a key US government requirement for deployment in secure environments handling sensitive data.

As the first and only EMM provider with this certification, Samsung SDS has demonstrated its innovation, leadership and commitment to bringing to market secure mobile solutions, especially for highly regulated and security focused industries. Samsung SDS CellWe EMM provides government and enterprise customers a cross platform mobility management solution built from the ground up with government-grade security, flexible features and extensive support for Samsung KNOX, an industry leading mobile container. Supporting both Android and iOS, the solution provides mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), data security and container management features, as well as private push capabilities and many other features relevant to security conscious enterprises, all managed through a web based administrative console.

“We are pleased to be awarded this certification. This shows our commitment to serving our government customers with an enterprise-class mobility solution with government grade security. Samsung SDS CellWe EMM will be a smart answer for government customers in the public sector looking for enhanced mobile security.” said VP Mingu Lee at Samsung SDSA.

Mobile Device Management (MDM) is a solution that provides policy, inventory, security, and service management for mobile devices. As the next generation MDM, Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) provides the collective set of tools, technologies, processes, and policies used to securely manage and maintain the use of mobile devices within an organization.

The Common Criteria certification process assesses the design and implementation of security-sensitive products and provides assurance that the specification, implementation, and evaluation of each solution have been thoroughly analyzed.
