Bioness Earns Accreditation from the Joint Commission, Receiving the Gold Seal of Approval® for Health Care Quality and Safety

VALENCIA, Calif.--()--Bioness, Inc. announced that it has once again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for health care quality and safety by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal of Approval demonstrates to customers, employees and the community that Bioness is committed to providing the best care.

Bioness previously earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission in 2012.

Bioness underwent a rigorous, unannounced on-site survey in April 2015. During the review, a team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated compliance with standards related to several areas, including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, leadership and training compliance. Surveyors also conducted on-site observations and interviews.

Bioness President and CEO Todd Cushman says he is honored that the company was recognized for their efforts, and the Gold Seal of Approval serves as an inspiration to keep pursuing innovative, evidence-based technologies and therapy solutions. “We are pleased to have received accreditation from The Joint Commission, the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation,” he said. “The Bioness team is dedicated to working together to develop and implement approaches that have the potential to improve patient care.”

Accreditation by The Joint Commission is a continuous process that provides an unbiased evaluation of quality and safety in an organization. Passing an unannounced survey is validation to Bioness’ daily operations and systems. Maintaining processes and standards compliance demonstrates a long-term commitment to providing the highest level of service and safety.
