CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Board of Directors of Technology in Progress (TIP Solutions, Inc.) today announced the appointment of Marshall Brown as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Brown succeeds John Braun who will become Executive Chairman of the Board also effective immediately.
Michael Unetich, a member of the TIP Solutions Board of Directors and Chief Operating Officer said, "The Board has completed its search for a CEO to lead the next stage of TIP Solutions’ growth. About Marshall Brown
Prior to joining TIP Solutions, Marshall was most recently consulting at Verifone working with the senior leadership team to transform the company and achieve cost savings across 130+ business processes.
Mr. Brown gained much of his telecom experience prior to that in his work at Motorola. He served as Corporate Vice President and Chief of Staff for Motorola Mobility, Inc., where he played a critical role in Motorola Mobility's spin-off transaction from its former parent company, Motorola, Inc., as well as the sale of the company to Google in May 2012.
Marshall previously served as integration manager for corporate development and was responsible for the successful integration of multiple acquisitions across all of Motorola’s businesses. Prior to that, he was business development manager for the Mobile Devices business, where he led and assisted with various acquisitions, investments, alliances and licensing agreements.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and a master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University Chicago.
