Iran Resistance Leaders Gather in Paris to Challenge Nuclear Deal

US Dignitaries Join Effort to Promote Democracy in Iran

PARIS--()--U.S. and international political leaders, military officials and former diplomats will all join leading Iranian expatriates in Villepinte – Paris on Saturday, June 13th for the world’s largest gathering of supporters of freedom and democracy in Iran.

The June 13th event will feature remarks from internationally-recognized opinion leaders on the ongoing negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program just two weeks before the June 30th deadline for a final agreement and on the growing crises in the Middle East, highlighted by the rise of ISIS and the Iranian regime’s meddling in Yemen. Speakers will set out a vision for Iran’s future and urge the international community to ensure that any agreement over Iran’s nuclear program would effectively prevent the Tehran regime from having the capacity to produce nuclear weapons.

The event will be live streamed at a number of websites including: http://www.ncr-iran.org/en/. Follow the event live on Twitter @4FreedominIran #IranFreedom #MaryamRajaviSpeaks

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has a proven track record of exposing the facts on the ground about the Iranian regime’s nuclear program. Two weeks ago, NCRI issued a report that revealed important details about a seven-member group of North Korean nuclear, missile, and nuclear experts who visited a military complex near Tehran in late-April for the third time this year. In 2002, NCRI exposed Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Natanz and the heavy water facility at Arak, which triggered for the first time the inspections of the Iranian nuclear site by the UN watchdog agency.

This year’s summit in Paris will include:

  • Rudy Giuliani, former New York City Mayor and Presidential Candidate
  • Bill Richardson, former Ambassador to the U.N., U.S. Secretary of Energy, and Governor of New Mexico
  • Gen. Hugh Shelton, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
  • James Woolsey, former CIA Director
  • Louis Freeh, former FBI Director
  • Tom Ridge, former Governor of Pennsylvania and first U.S. Homeland Security Secretary
  • Ed Rendell, former Governor of Pennsylvania and Chairman of the Democratic National Committee
  • Howard Dean, former Governor of Vermont and Chairman of the Democratic National Committee

  • Michael Mukasey, former U.S. Attorney General
  • Frances Townsend, former Homeland Security Advisor to President George W. Bush
  • John Bolton, former Ambassador to the U.N.
