New Norse Threat Intelligence Appliance and ‘Early-Warning-as-a-Service’ Offerings to Be Showcased at InfoSecurity Europe

Company to Moderate Panel on Media’s Role in Educating Public on Cyber Threats

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--()--Norse Corporation, the leader in live attack intelligence, will showcase its new family of enterprise threat intelligence solutions in booth E202 at the InfoSecurity Europe 2015 conference and exhibition, June 2-4, at the Olympia Conference Centre in London.

On display will be the new Norse Appliance™ 10g, which actively monitors inbound and outbound network traffic at 10 gbps line speeds to “supercharge” SIEMs and block advanced attacks. The company also will feature its new Norse Intelligence Service™, a unique fusion of automated and human intelligence analysis that offers turnkey “early-warning-as-a-service” to help large financial services firms and government agencies quickly identify compromised systems, spot malicious activity and track attacks while they’re still underway.

Norse threat intelligence experts will be on hand to discuss these offerings and take private meetings.

“Real-time, actionable threat intelligence is crucial to thwarting advanced attacks, and Norse is delivering the most advanced tools for defending large organizations on the Internet,” said Tommy Stiansen, CTO and co-founder of Norse. “Our new Norse Appliance 10g and Norse Intelligence Service offerings consistently deliver unique intelligence available nowhere else — actionable attack intelligence at transaction speeds to protect enterprises from today’s threats.”

Noted security blogger and Norse director of publications Anthony Freed will moderate a panel entitled, “FUD or Fact: The Role of the News Media in Security.” Panelists will include veteran security reporters Raphael Satter, investigative journalist for the Associated Press, Thomas Brewster, winner of the BT Security Journalist of the Year award, and Brian Honan, head of Ireland’s IRISSCERT. The panel is scheduled for 1:20 p.m. BST on June 2.

Norse Appliance 10g

The new Norse Appliance 10g can dramatically improve the performance and ROI of existing SIEMs by improving their catch-rate and lowering their workloads, and can even block threats intelligently before they hit an organization’s firewalls. Norse Appliance 10g spots darknet and deep web attacks that traditional systems miss, reduces the need for future hardware purchases and lightens analyst caseloads. With its high-bandwidth, always-on connection to the big-data Norse Intelligence Network™, the Norse Appliance 10g preempts risky connections, logs interactions with threat actors, analyzes traffic and sends distilled, pre-enriched events to SIEMs and firewalls, making them work better, faster and more cost-effectively.
