Twitter Co-founder Biz Stone is at it again. This time with an innovative visual language that is turning heads.
Stone considers each statement made on his hyper-visual app dubbed Super, “A work of art.”
“It seems as if the world is being overtaken by text based chat,” Stone said Wednesday as he unveiled his latest evolution on social communication based on his artist roots.
“The transmission of emotion, and by extension, empathy, is best served by combining words and imagery,” said Stone. “Images transcend language. Words are punctuation.”
The uniquely vibrant and colorful Super suggests images and artwork related to the short thoughts and ideas people share on the network. A new feature called Facetagging works in place of the @mention to recognize a name and convert it into an interactive visual in-line with the text.
“Social networking is still quite new,” Stone stressed as he, and Co-founder Ben Finkel, announced their latest innovative update at the annual AppsWorld Conference.
