Community Health Accreditation Partner Announces Launch of New Education Platform

WASHINGTON--()--The Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) announced on Monday, May 4, the release of its new learning management system (LMS) - CHAP Education.

The new LMS will provide CHAP customers and the larger home and community-based health care industry with improved access to CHAP’s educational offerings and other resources, including the provider media kit and the ability to order the CHAP Standards of Excellence. Other features include an improved registration process and access to recordings of past webinars.

“Our goal with this new education platform is to serve as a true partner and forge a learning community around home and community-based care,” said Karen Collishaw, CHAP President & CEO. “Building on 50 years of guiding and educating our customers through the accreditation process, we have had the opportunity to grow and learn from the constantly changing health care landscape. CHAP Education is the perfect way for us to keep in touch and share expertise with our customers.”

Users will be able to log in to CHAP Education using their CHAP LinQ username and password. Users without a CHAP LinQ account can easily register for an account by following the on-screen prompts.

CHAP is an independent, not-for-profit, accrediting body for community-based health care organizations. Created in 1965, CHAP was the first to recognize the need and value for accreditation in community-based care. CHAP is the oldest national, community-based accrediting body with more than 9,000 agencies currently accredited nationwide. Through “deeming authority” granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CHAP has the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health, hospice, and home medical equipment services, to determine if they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation and CMS Quality Standards. CHAP’s purpose is to define and advance the highest standards of community-based care. For more information about CHAP, visit www.chapinc.org.
