SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dexter + Chaney, providers of Spectrum® Construction Software for the construction industry, announced Pieper-Houston Electric L.P., one of the largest electrical contractors in the Houston, Texas, area, as the winner of the Innovator Award at its 19th annual Connect 2015 Users’ Conference held April 23–24 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle.
The Innovator Award, sponsored by Dexter + Chaney, annually recognizes the innovative uses of software and technology by contractors that allow them to take their company’s success to the next level. Since its beginnings in 1958, Pieper-Houston Electric has grown into one of the largest full-service electrical contractors in Houston. The company has designed, installed and maintained hundreds of projects, ranging from very small electrical work to full design-build of large facilities, including educational and medical buildings. Hansen noted that with the recent addition of a pre-fabrication facility onsite, they will be utilizing even more capabilities of Spectrum to manage the production and costs of pre-construction services.

The Connect 2015 Users’ Conference brought together more than 400 Spectrum customers, industry partners and experts for three days of learning and networking functions, including an evening of entertainment at the Experience Music Project museum. Seven unique tracks of courses were available for attendees, covering the latest industry trends and best practices, as well as detailed sessions on software functionality. Keynote speeches included a presentation from leadership speaker Mark Sanborn and Dexter + Chaney co-founder and CEO John Chaney, who closed the conference with a glimpse of some of the future technology developments in the works at Dexter + Chaney.
