GEICO honors associates with Corporate Quality Awards for making advancements in efficiency and innovation

WASHINGTON--()--GEICO recognized 29 associates around the country and the teams they represent with Corporate Quality Awards for their exceptional efforts to improve the customer experience as well as internal processes. Winners were selected from a record 120 nominees for their significant contributions to GEICO.

"GEICO's greatest asset is its associates," said the company's president and COO, Bill Roberts. "Our 2014 Corporate Quality Award winners join an elite group of associates that has gone well above and beyond to improve the way we do business. I commend them for their efforts, and am eternally grateful for their dedication to GEICO," Roberts said.

GEICO's 2014 Corporate Quality Award Winners include:

  • Cory Drakeford, Anthony James and Angela Cook of Fredericksburg, Va., for their work to make it even easier for policyholders to use GEICO's award-winning mobile app.
  • Jerry Achatz of Washington, D.C., and Paige Garvin and Adam Smith of Macon, Ga., for making the process easier to include the right type of coverage on a new policy.
  • Mark Taylor of Buffalo, N.Y., for improving the quote process to help GEICO policyholders save considerably.
  • Kevin Briggs of Macon, Ga., Luke Brady of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mirian Freeborn of Washington, D.C., for their comprehensive review of subrogation demands.
  • Jason Shea, Ryan Sutley and Shawn Ervin of Washington, D.C., for creating an application that collects more accurate data.
  • Connie Bray of Washington, D.C., Laura Robertson of Macon, Ga., and Steve Blome of Washington, D.C., for developing procedures that allow policyholders to complete more self-service claims.
  • Vicki Root of Tucson, Ariz., and Dawnda Mize of San Diego, Calif., for improving the subrogation process.
  • Holly Peavy of Macon, Ga., and Chris Hoyas of Fredericksburg, Va., for helping policyholders see discounts more easily.
  • Chris Murdock and Christopher Smith of Lakeland, Fla., for using electronic files for certified policy copies and saving more than 2 million pages of printed materials.
  • Todd Bowers of Seattle, Wash., for starting an e-filing initiative for court documents.
  • Amy Wolfe and Tom Duic of Buffalo, N.Y., and Chris Hofmann of Washington, D.C., for their work on GEICO social media.
  • Carole Cease of Fredericksburg, Va., for helping to improve GEICO's service.
  • April Orona and Patrick Reeves of Macon, Ga., for preparing staff to keep up with increased Emergency Roadside Service demands in states hit with unusually bad weather from the polar vortex.
