ReadySpace Launches Cloud Service on IBM Power Systems

First service in Asia that lets businesses enjoy the high performance, reliability and security of IBM Power Systems through the cloud

SINGAPORE--()--ReadySpace, a leading cloud service provider in the Asia Pacific region, has launched a new service that lets organizations tap on IBM Power Systems powered by the UNIX (AIX) or Linux operating system – through the cloud.

From US$300 per month for each ReadySpace Cloud UNIX (AIX) instance, organizations can enjoy the highest level of performance, security and reliability that IBM Power Systems are known for.

“More and more businesses are choosing IBM Power Systems,” said Mr David Loke, Chief Executive Officer at ReadySpace.

“We are the first in Asia to offer a Cloud UNIX (AIX) service for customers looking for an easy way to tap on IBM Power Systems not just for disaster recovery, but also for production and staging purposes in a hybrid cloud environment,” he added.

IBM Power Systems are designed for such hybrid environments. Through enterprise-class security, efficient virtualization that drives industry-leading workload density, and dynamic resource allocation and management, IBM Power Systems deliver consistently high service levels across hundreds of virtual workloads on a single system.

Specifically, the ReadySpace Cloud service will let enterprises with existing Power Systems tap on additional capacity when needed during peak business periods, Mr Loke said.

“Organizations can also use it to support their disaster recovery plans as well as the development of business-critical applications which IBM Power Systems can handle with confidence,” he added.

These applications include Hanelsoft’s enterprise resource management (ERP) systems used by organizations in the logistics, hospitality, retail and education sectors, among others.

"We are excited to hear about ReadySpace's cloud offering on IBM Power Systems,” said Mr Victor Lee, director of Parts Precision, an IT service provider that deploys Hanelsoft ERP systems.

“Our Hanelsoft ERP solution delivers the best performance running on IBM Power Systems compared to x86 servers. For customers seeking our Hanelsoft ERP solution, we can now partner with ReadySpace to offer a Cloud hosted option at similar performance, reliability and availability,” Mr Lee added.

Award-winning security

With ReadySpace’s award-winning cloud security and IBM’s security capabilities, enterprises can be assured that their ReadySpace Cloud UNIX (AIX) service will remain secure at all times.

“IBM Power systems offer built-in security that competing platforms are unable to match. Real-time data encryption, sophisticated application isolation, and compliance alerts and reporting ensure that data is safe, company and industry compliance standards are met, and costs are minimized,” Mr Loke said.

To celebrate the launch of the new service, ReadySpace is offering Cloud UNIX (AIX) customers a 50% discount on their subscription fees for the first month. For more information, visit www.readyspace.com.
