ATI CEO Noel Irwin Hentschel Speaks on China & Cuba Tourism at Cornell Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON--()--Noel Irwin Hentschel, CEO of AmericanTours International (ATI), spoke to a packed audience of hospitality industry leaders at the Cornell University and American Hotel & Lodging Association forum. Hentschel offered insight into Cuba and China, speaking from extensive experience gained from ATI’s early foothold in these emerging tourism markets, and offered success-building tips including relationships, vision, teamwork, faith and fortitude.

“ATI creates unique programs for Chinese travelers. Our popular ‘Hollywood to Broadway’ tour series is an 18-day motorcoach adventure across America to places seldom seen by international travelers. ATI drives global trends, constantly adapting to exceed travelers’ expectations,” stated Hentschel.

Authorized by the U.S. State Department in 1992, ATI set foot in Cuba. In 2011 ATI became licensed by the U.S. Department of Treasury to offer “purposeful” tours to Cuba. ATI has significant expertise in servicing American travelers in Cuba in spite of the deficiency of the existing infrastructure for this burgeoning market. Visit www.cubaATI.com.

“By working with governments and hotel partners, ATI successfully pioneers the complicated markets of China and Cuba. By learning the culture and understanding diverse mentalities, ATI caters to travelers’ desires through innovative travel products. ATI establishes lasting relationships with global partners and the millions we serve, enjoying 98% repeat clients. Brands matter, as does technology, but commitment to service and to the overall experience of the traveler, makes the tour operator vital as the primary developer of creative programs. Industry and governments collectively must ensure an environment of trust, safety and reliability for the traveler. Enforcing laws and rooting out illegal and unethical business practices is key to sustainable development,” Hentschel remarked.

When asked about balancing work and home life, Hentschel responded, “As a mother of seven, children are our priority. Our son Timothy is a Cornell graduate who created Hotelplanner.com, the most professional online group booking company globally. Tim gives back and helps others succeed, the best measure of true success.”

AmericanTours International (ATI) is America’s largest privately held, inbound/outbound tourism organization serving annually one half-million visitors generating $3 billion into the U.S.A. economy. Co-founded in 1977 by Noel Irwin Hentschel and Michael Fitzpatrick, ATI is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices across America and in Beijing.
