GERMANTOWN, Md.--()--Earth Networks, the parent company of the popular WeatherBug consumer brand, announces the appointment of Leslie Ferry as chief marketing officer. Ferry is responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of marketing, including brand management, consumer and enterprise product marketing, lead generation and marketing communications.

“As we strategically expand our product line and geographic footprint, we have an increasing need to tell our story on a broader scale,” says Earth Networks president and chief operating officer, Rich Spaulding. “Leslie will play an instrumental role in elevating our brand and conveying our unique capabilities.”

Prior to joining Earth Networks, Ferry was the vice president of marketing at BroadSoft, the global leader of communications software. Earlier, as vice president of customer experience at Network Solutions, she helped the company successfully expand its product portfolio and led top-performing customer acquisition and retention programs. At CareerBuilder.com, Ferry helped catapult the company to success by directing strategic marketing initiatives involving new product launches, lead generation and research. Leslie also spent eight years in consumer marketing at telecommunications giant MCI.
