OMAHA, Neb.--()--The kangaroo, one of nature’s most unusual and interesting creatures, is the focus of the latest installment of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom web series.

Featuring Wild Guide Stephanie Arne and the kangaroos of Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Wichita, Kan., the new Wild Kingdom videos can be viewed at www.WildKingdom.com or on the Wild Kingdom YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/WildKingdomTV).

“The kangaroo is such a unique and fascinating creature, I’m thrilled that Wild Kingdom can give our viewers close-up views of an animal that is so closely associated with Australia,” Arne said. “I am especially excited about our ability to observe and share videos of joeys in their mothers’ pouches.”

Other topics Wild Kingdom is exploring in the third installment of its web series include:

  • Leopard cubs – An amazing look at snow and clouded leopard cubs from Tanganyika Wildlife Park, which is helping preserve this majestic species with the largest breeding collection of clouded leopards in the world.
  • Sea otters – Enjoy the antics of the playful sea otters from the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, Calif., as they romp, tumble, wrestle and amaze.
  • Manatees – Marvel at the graceful swimming demonstrated by manatees, despite their massive size. We learn more about these gentle giants at the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Sarasota, Fla.

Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom premiered on network television on Jan. 6, 1963. It pioneered the format of wildlife TV and remains one of the most loved and respected wildlife programs in TV history.
