AMELIA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Modern Insurance Group today announced the inaugural Bibs for Kids 5K Walk/Run benefiting Insuring the Children. The event will be held on and around the company’s campus in Amelia on Saturday, April 18, 2015.
The walk/run begins at 9am at the American Modern headquarters at 7000 Midland Boulevard in Amelia. Proceeds from the event go to benefit Insuring the Children, an organization that raises the awareness of child abuse and supports prevention programs.
“American Modern is excited to host an event that will be fun for kids of all ages, while also raising money for Insuring the Children,” said Kate Reed, head of human resources for American Modern, who is also on the charity’s board of directors. “April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we’re hopeful this event will help raise awareness of the issue,” she said.
Awards will be given to the top three men finishers, top three women finishers and top three finishers among kids 12 and younger.
Registration can be done online or in person the day of the race. The entry fee is $15. Participants can also buy a Hi-Tec Performance Race T-Shirt for $15.
