Game On! GEICO sponsors Junior Tennis Champions Center

WASHINGTON--()--GEICO and the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) have teamed up to bring Game On, a high-quality tennis instruction and educational enrichment program for students in Washington, D.C., who wouldn’t otherwise have access to tennis facilities.

Working in collaboration with GEICO, DC Parks and Recreation, DC Public Schools and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Game On teaches state-of-the-art tennis and life skills lessons with a goal of promoting academic achievement, health and wellness and team building all in a safe and fun environment.

“GEICO is proud to partner with the JTCC to present the Game On tennis program,” said Rynthia Rost, GEICO vice president of public affairs. “Game On provides students in Washington, D.C., a dual opportunity to learn the sport of tennis and enhance their educational processes under the ideals and principles of the late tennis great Arthur Ashe.”

Talented and motivated tennis players in D.C. public and charter schools between the ages of 4-18 are eligible for the program. Some students in the Game On program have earned college scholarships.

“We are excited to be able to provide hundreds of youth in the Washington D.C., area with tennis instruction,” said JTCC CEO Ray Benton. “GEICO's generous support has been instrumental in promoting the sport of tennis as well as offsetting expenses for tennis instruction and educational enrichment for our kids.”
