FORT MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LTC Global, Inc. today announced that Daniel G. Schmedlen, Jr. has been named the company’s chief executive officer, a position previously held by Richard B. Pitbladdo, who is no longer with the company.
Schmedlen, who joined the company as its general counsel in 2007, managed over a dozen significant acquisitions as the company grew into the dominant provider of capital to the Long Term Care insurance distribution industry and a leading LTCi distributor in its own right. Prior to joining LTC Global, Schmedlen handled company legal matters for several years as a partner in the New York office of Nixon Peabody LLP and prior to that, as a partner in the New York office of Lord, Bissell & Brook LLP, a predecessor firm to Locke Lord Edwards.
“I appreciate the opportunity to lead this great team and look forward to making the most of my institutional knowledge and experience. As we move ahead, we will focus the company’s resources and attention on our core business activities, including ramping up our commission purchases and expanding our commission advance program. In addition, we will continue to pursue a term securitization of our commission assets,” Schmedlen said.
“I wish Richard the best in his future endeavors and will always look back fondly on the decade we spent working together,” said Schmedlen.
