BOSTON--()--Taste of Iceland, an annual festival that celebrates Iceland’s vibrant culture, returns to Boston with a series of events from March 12-16, 2015. Presented by Iceland Naturally, the five-day event highlights the best of Icelandic food, music and culture, giving Bostonians a taste of what life is like in Iceland. This year’s events include a special Icelandic menu at Tavern Road prepared by 2014 Nordic Chef of the Year Viktor Örn Andrésson, the free Reykjavik Calling concert at The Middle East, a free Icelandic Film Festival at Kendall Square Cinema, and the City to City Dialogue, an energy innovation panel at the MIT Media lab. Icelandic Menu at Tavern Road

An authentic Icelandic meal will be available Friday through Monday at Tavern Road, located in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood. Icelandic chef Viktor Örn Andrésson, Blue Lagoon’s award-winning head chef, will collaborate with Tavern Road chef and owner Louis DiBiccari to prepare a four-course meal featuring traditional Icelandic fare, including fresh Arctic char, Icelandic cod, free-range Icelandic lamb, and decadent hazelnut Skyr. Prepared onsite with fresh ingredients flown in from Iceland, this special menu will be offered for $65 per person (tax, gratuity, and beverages not included). Reykjavik Calling Concert at The Middle East

The free Reykjavik Calling concert combines two of Iceland’s most talented bands with two Boston-area acts for a night of spectacular collaborations. Presented in partnership with WERS 88.9 FM and Iceland Airwaves, admission to the concert is free and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. City to City Dialogue: Innovations in Energy and Mobility Affecting the Future of Our Cities

Iceland Naturally is partnering with the MIT Media Lab and the City Science Initiative to host an energy innovation panel discussion moderated by Greg Lindsay. The panel will focus on Boston and Reykjavik’s efforts in innovating energy for a better future, including the work being done around electric cars and data centers. The Mayor of Reykjavik and executives from Iceland’s national power company, Landsvirkjun, will represent Iceland on the panel. Vineet Gupta, Head of City of Boston Transportation, and Ryan Chin of the City Science Initiative and the MIT Media Lab, among others, will represent Boston. Icelandic Film Festival at Kendall Square Cinema
