RESTON, Va.--()--Transaction Network Services (TNS) is strengthening its dedicated Telecommunication Services Division with the appointment of industry veteran Joe Lueckenhoff as Executive Vice President and General Manager.

Mr Lueckenhoff will lead TNS’ Telecommunication Services Division and take responsibility for ensuring it delivers on its targets, including capitalizing on the market conversion to 4G LTE in the mobile sector, helping the industry monetize big data, and facilitating the conversion to a complete IP infrastructure.

Mike Keegan, Chief Executive Officer at TNS, said: “We are pleased to announce such a prestigious new appointment and look forward to working with Joe as he drives our Telecommunication Services Division forward.

“Joe has had an illustrious career and the valuable experience he has gained, especially with carriers, gives him a unique insight into the needs of our customers and the industry as a whole. I’m confident that Joe will lead our team successfully and lose no time in executing tactics which will help achieve the goals that we have set for 2015.”

Prior to joining TNS, Mr Lueckenhoff was Senior Vice President of Business Product Management at AT&T. Since retiring from that position in 2013, Mr Lueckenhoff has been acting as an independent executive consultant, providing guidance to Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officers on how to scale their businesses and generate new sources of revenue.

Mr Lueckenhoff has a wealth of industry experience, including 24 years with AT&T, where he held senior positions in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Network Engineering. He also spent six years with Cingular in the role of Vice President of Business Mobility and Marketing, which included responsibility for consolidating Cingular and AT&T’s wireless and wireline products after the merger in 2010. Mr Lueckenhoff has also held posts at Dell as well as Celox Networks, where at the latter he was Chief Operating Officer and a board member.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Lueckenhoff said: “I’m delighted to be joining TNS and taking responsibility for its Telecommunication Services Division. My first priority is to meet with as many customers and partners as possible to ensure that I truly understand their requirements and that we align with these, as well as the market opportunities they are seeking to embrace.

“TNS has a set of unique assets which, I feel, are unmatched in the industry and this presents significant potential as the industry accelerates 4G LTE networks, the conversion to IP infrastructure, and other products, such as the use of subscriber information in improving revenue realization.

“At the same time, focus and execution on our core strategy will be key to strengthening our business and, as a natural problem solver, I’m motivated by the opportunity to bring new and creative approaches to ensure we deliver the best service possible to our customers and partners.”

Since its inception in 1995, TNS’ Telecommunication Services Division has expanded to address the full needs of wireless and wireline operators in the US and globally.
