Mariners Dedicates Santa Ana Campus with New 10am Worship Service

SANTA ANA, Calif.--()--Mariners Church has officially dedicated its fifth Orange County campus with a new service time and new church offices that will give church leaders an even closer connection to the community.

Launched last Easter, Mariners Church Santa Ana (MSA) was christened during a new 10am weekly worship service at its Delhi Center campus in south Santa Ana. Church staff also established new church offices in the Artist’s Village neighborhood of Santa Ana.

According to MSA Lead Pastor Lamont Hartman, the changes make it easier for the staff and congregation to access its community, which includes central Orange County.

“Like all Mariners Church campuses, Mariners Santa Ana offers a vibrant worship experience, authentic community and relational Biblical teaching to its neighborhood,” he said. “We are a congregation of black, white, Hispanic, Asian and other followers of Jesus wanting to pursue community together.”

MSA’s 10am service features band-driven worship, congregation sharing and a message by Pastor Lamont, who blends original teachings with Mariners-wide series tailored specifically to Santa Ana. The church offers life groups, annual “Rooted” small-group sessions, men’s and women’s ministries and weekly youth programs for high school, junior high and infant through fifth grade.

MSA was conceived by Mariners leadership years ago as the original congregation became increasingly involved in outreach activities on Minnie Street and elsewhere in the city. That involvement led to the formalization of Mariners Outreach and three Lighthouse Community Centers in and around Santa Ana providing counseling, after-school mentoring, hunger-support, family-development and other programs.

In addition to Santa Ana and the original campus in Irvine, there are Mariners campuses in Mission Viejo, Huntington Beach and San Juan Capistrano.

A ten-year pastor, Hartman grew up in Nashville before graduating from Hampton University and Regent Seminary, both in Virginia. He is studying for his doctorate at San Francisco Theological Seminary.

Previously, he was local engagement pastor at Mariners’ Irvine campus and pastor of urban care and development at Water of Life Church in Fontana, Calif. Hartman lives with his wife and three kids in Irvine but is moving to Santa Ana.

Mariners Church Santa Ana meets Sundays at 10am in the Delhi Center at 505 E. Central Ave. Church offices are at 106 N. Main St. The phone number is 949-769-8100.
