IOD Demonstrates PRISM Platform’s Functionality at the IHE North American Connectathon

HIM solutions provider showcases its healthcare technology interoperability for second consecutive year; underlines support for the ONC Interoperability Roadmap

HIMSS15

GREEN BAY, Wis.--()--IOD Incorporated, an innovator of HIM solutions that deliver on-demand, actionable information to operational and financial executives throughout the enterprise, today announced the successful testing of its PRISM platform’s interoperability at the 2015 IHE North American Connectathon event. Through its participation, IOD demonstrates its support for the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Interoperability Roadmap, released earlier this year. At the event, IOD tested its product against other vendors and connected with EHR, quality, research and public health vendors present on-site.

Connectathon is a unique, live-forum for interoperability testing that attracts industry players who engage in opportunities to certify and implement best practices around key interoperability capabilities during the event. More than 100 vendors and 600 engineers and IT architects participated this year, an increase from last year’s Connectathon.

“IOD is dedicated to contributing to the growth and refinement of the nation’s health IT ecosystem,” said William Sweeney, chief technology officer of IOD. “The ONC has established a foundation with which we align and strive to enable. Our PRISM platform technology, which has been demonstrated to be an interoperable, superior and secure solution, continues to support hospital HIM departments in meeting new health information exchange standards set by the industry, as shown at this year’s Connectathon.”

IOD successfully completed tests on seven profiles and 11 actors, including:

  • Audit Trail and Node Authentication
  • Consistent Time
  • Cross-Community Patient Discovery
  • Cross-Community Access
  • Cross-Enterprise Document Reliable Interchange
  • Cross-Enterprise Document Media Interchange
  • Healthcare Provider Directory (HPD) – HPD Directory, HPD Source and HPD Consumer with Federation Option

IOD will further demonstrate functionalities of the PRISM platform at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase Wednesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. CT. In this presentation IOD will demonstrate how PRISM Connect Provider—a solution for exchanging sensitive patient information among diverse care teams—provides seamless connectivity, and improved workflows and inefficiencies for Health Information Exchanges.

IOD’s PRISM platform is an eHealth Exchange Validated Product, and IOD is accredited by several organizations including EHNAC/DirectTrust as a HISP (Health Information Service Provider), CA (Certificate Authority) and RA (Registration Authority).
