BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) today announced that it has appointed Amanda Sorsak to lead its Property & Energy Claims operation in Canada. She was previously Executive General Adjuster at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty in Toronto.

Before Allianz, Amanda held a variety of claims handling positions with increasing responsibilities at FM Global, including General Adjuster, Senior Adjuster, Staff Adjuster and Loss Prevention Consultant.
She earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Amanda is a licensed Professional Engineer of Ontario, and holds the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
Amanda is based in the Toronto office of BHSI.
