BEVERLY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Capital Hotel Management (CHM), a leading hotel asset management and investment advisory firm, today announced that it has been retained by the Denver International Airport (DIA) to provide asset management services for its 519-room Westin Hotel, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2015. CHM will provide pre and post-opening asset management services and Starwood Hotels & Resorts will operate the hotel.
“A hotel located at one of the nation’s busiest international airports is a complex asset management assignment that requires a unique skill set,” noted Chad Crandell, president of CHM. “DIA has entrusted us to ensure the hotel ramps up quickly and opens its doors with strong, forward momentum."
The Westin Denver International Airport is part of a $544 million project by DIA that includes the hotel, a public transit center serving the new East Rail Line that will connect the airport with downtown Denver, and a public plaza venue for programs and events where passengers and visitors can find entertainment, relaxation, art and restaurants. Designed to meet LEED Gold standards, The Westin Denver International Airport will be the sole hotel connected to the airport at its main terminal.
"Over the course of our 15-year history, we've developed a niche representing public agencies in the successful development of major-scale assets, recent among them the Hilton Baltimore Convention Center Hotel, the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis at the McCormick Center, which is currently under construction," Crandell added. "We will leverage that expertise to support DIA in achieving its investment objectives for the Westin Denver International Airport.”
