The SmartWallet seamlessly integrates technology with an everyday accessory to bring modern day conveniences to its users. The SmartWallet pairs with a user’s smartphone to help prevent the loss of both devices. SmartWallet’s Bluetooth LE locator ensures that the wallet keeps track of the phone and the phone keeps track of the wallet. When unpaired, the SmartWallet saves the GPS location the devices were last paired at. If the smartphone is lost, the user can sign in to the SmartWallet app on another device and retrieve the same GPS information. When an un-pairing occurs, a text message will also be sent to the user’s smartphone alerting the user that the devices are out of range. Additionally, users can press a button on the SmartWallet that will result in the smartphone ringing for easy retrieval.
The SmartWallet also solves a recurring problem faced by smartphone users with low battery life: a means to charge their phones. The SmartWallet features a built-in USB sync cable with an iPhone lightning and Micro-USB Option and a backup battery charger, allowing users to charge their phones anytime, anywhere. The USB cables have their own compartment to hide them when not in use.
